Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

A Baseball Catchers job is typically very hectic. It takes a special kind of person to need to be involved in every play. A person who thrives on the challenge and likelihood that whatever happens next, they're going to be involved. Clearly something has happened here, and everything's come to a stop. The Catcher diligently mans his post and waits for things to get moving again. This image was adapted from a photo taken at a little league game in Colorado. The vignette and sepia tone mimics photos taken in the early 1900's and (I think) adds a lot of character. Hopefully making for a nostalgic piece that screams America. Post work completed using Painter 12 and Photoshop CS6. Thanks to the many people who offered guidance in completion of this piece. I hope you like it...

I've never really thought of myself as an "Artist", and after my first visit to this site, and having seen some of the many outstanding works offered here, I'm even less inclined to do so. I consider myself a student of art. I'm self taught in disciplines including photography, painting, wood carving (ugh!) and recently digital media. My goal has been as simple as trying to be better than this time last year. (take better pictures, make better drawings, etc...) If nothing else, I think I've accomplished that at the very least.
