About Chris Thomas
I've never really thought of myself as an "Artist", and after my first visit to this site, and having seen some of the many outstanding works offered here, I'm even less inclined to do so. I consider myself a student of art. I'm self taught in disciplines including photography, painting, wood carving (ugh!) and recently digital media. My goal has been as simple as trying to be better than this time last year. (take better pictures, make better drawings, etc...) If nothing else, I think I've accomplished that at the very least. Chris, this is a touching photograph, and takes me back probably 50 years to when my own little boys tried following their football coach Dad in the sport. So much complexity in organized sports for little ones... I wonder if vacant lot ball wasn't easier on kids. This is a great capture of a tender moment.
